How would you introduce Sara Kukreja today—beyond the Instagram bio?
As a person, I'm a lover girl. For me, love is everything, and I believe that love is the essence of everything. I feel only love can heal us. I might look very fancy right out there since I love being dressed up, applying makeup and everything. But I'm a very simple girl at heart. For me, if you ask me, my favourite cuisine would be bhindi phulka. I like home-cooked food. So whenever I go out, I don't eat outside. I don't drink outside. Just once in a while, I cheat on my diet. So I'm a very simple girl at heart.
For me, if there's love, there's everything, and that is the only way of living. I love my career; it's everything to me, and when I love something, I just surrender to it, and this is the reason I don't drink because I just want to be so disciplined and determined for my career. I want to give up on any distractions in between. I believe love is the key to success and living, and I want to be known for being the most loving girl in the room. I think anybody can be more beautiful than me, anybody can dress up better than me, but I feel that I'll always be the most loving girl in the room.

You’ve called yourself a 23-year-old girl from Shimla who ended up on a Mumbai billboard—what’s the real story behind that leap?

I have always dreamt of being in Mumbai. It was my biggest wish to be in Bombay and not to die as an unknown citizen. However, my dad would never allow me to be alone in Bombay because I am from Shimla. So, I started off by telling him that I want to study and I want to do a master's in psychology. So I did it from Sapphire College. Then, I told him that I don't want to pursue psychology. I want to become a content creator. For him, it was very new because he did not know that you can get paid while making videos or by working with brands.
So I told him to give me a few months and let me just show it to you if I can do it, or else I'll just come back to Shimla. When I was in Shimla, one of my reels got viral, and that's how I started reaching out to brands. Brands started reaching out to me, and I still remember my first paid collaboration just came to me within 15 days of me making 'Get Ready With Me' videos. Then, somehow, I convinced my dad that this is what I really want to do because when I started creating content, it just made a part of me alive that nothing else in this entire world can or could. I was a very lazy girl, but creating content has made me more disciplined, more passionate, and this is what I live for. So for me, my work is my passion.
Finally, I came to Bombay, and my parents have been very supportive. My mom is my biggest cheerleader. She accompanies me whenever she's in town. She also accompanies me through brand events and helps me create content and clicks the best pictures. So, I feel I have been very blessed to have such a supportive family. I'm a very spiritual girl, a firm believer in Mount Mary. I owe it all to her. It was on my bucket list to have a billboard of my own in the city of dreams, and the universe made it happen. I am very grateful for the journey, and there have been so many times that I've failed, so many things that did not come my way, but grateful for everything that's on its way.

Your bio blends “Beauty • Luxury • Fashion” with a playful “Chain of Hotels/LA FACE WITH MIAMI PHYSIQUE” vibe—what’s the story behind that identity?
I've always been a ‘Main Apni Favourite Hoon’ type, as I was always the ‘Poo’ in school. I used to always dress up well. I took a trip to the USA on my 18th birthday, and that experience really influenced me. Being exposed to places like Los Angeles and the overall lifestyle there sparked the idea of having an “LA FACE WITH MIAMI PHYSIQUE.”
I was a healthy kid too, I lost like 23 kgs. For me, fitness is everything, and it stems from a combination of working out and being passionate about my career goals. I have always had a business-minded approach, thanks to my family, which is the story behind my bio.
Brand Collaboration Instagram
You posted about your 'first international collaboration' early in your creator journey—what did you learn about global luxury standards from that experience?

My content revolves around luxury, and that's what I want to pursue. So when I collaborated with Siam Premium Malls in Thailand, it was one of the nicest collaborations ever because I love the blend of luxury that they had and for me to resonate with them. I feel that was something very special to me because it was my birthday.
This was the best gift that the universe could have ever given me because I live to work and I feel that there's so much more to explore globally, the stunning collections they have out there and something that's only more premium to that country itself. I feel it's just a blend of a lot of cultures and how people out there have their own opinions and standards.

Luxury audiences are sharp—how do you keep trust when doing paid partnerships (pricing, deliverables, usage rights, creative control)?

Luxury audiences can sense intention instantly, so trust, for me, is non-negotiable.
Pricing:
I price based on value, not volume. Luxury isn’t about frequency; it’s about fit, storytelling, and credibility. My pricing reflects my audience, the time I invest in concept, production quality, and the long-term equity I bring to the brand, not just a post going live.
Deliverables:
I’m very clear and intentional. I only commit to deliverables I can execute at the highest standard. If something feels forced or diluted, I’d rather say no. Fewer, stronger assets always perform better for luxury.
Usage rights:
Usage is always discussed upfront. My content is an extension of my personal brand, so how and where it’s used matters. I’m transparent about timelines, platforms, and licensing; clarity protects both sides and keeps the partnership respectful.
Creative control:
This is where trust is built or broken. Brands come to me for my voice, my aesthetic, and my audience’s trust, so I protect that fiercely. I collaborate closely, but I don’t compromise authenticity. When the storytelling feels natural, the audience feels it too.
At the end of the day, luxury is about restraint, honesty, and intention. If I don’t genuinely align with it offline, I won’t sell it online. That’s how trust stays intact.

Your travel footprint shows up strongly (Mumbai, Hong Kong, Disneyland, Bangkok). How do you curate luxury travel content that feels personal, not performative?

I curate travel content the same way I live it: slowly, intentionally, and emotionally. Mumbai grounds me, Hong Kong energises me, Disneyland brings out my inner child, and Bangkok feels familiar and freeing. I don’t try to perform luxury; I document moments that genuinely move me. I focus on details over destinations: the quiet of a hotel lobby at night, how a city looks when you’re walking alone, the way a place makes you feel safe, inspired, or nostalgic. Those small moments are what make luxury personal.
I also don’t post everything. I leave space for real experiences that never make it online. That restraint keeps the content honest, and my audience can feel the difference. Most importantly, my travels are deeply tied to my life, often with my mom, my family, or moments I once dreamed of as a child. When luxury is rooted in emotion, memory, and intention, it stops being performative and starts being relatable.

How do you choose which luxury/beauty brands you say yes to—and what’s an instant no?

I say yes when the brand already exists in my life or genuinely could. Luxury is about trust, and my audience knows when something feels borrowed versus lived-in. I look for alignment in values, aesthetic, and intention, not just a logo. I also pay close attention to how a brand treats creators. Clear communication, respect for timelines, fair pricing, and transparency around usage rights matter to me. Luxury isn’t just the product; it’s the way the partnership is handled.
An instant NO? When a brand tries to over-control the narrative, rush the process, or treat the collaboration as transactional rather than collaborative. If I’m asked to compromise authenticity, exaggerate claims, or push something I wouldn’t stand by offline, that’s a hard no. If it doesn’t feel honest, it won’t feel luxurious.

If you could curate your dream luxury life five years from now—where are you living, what are you building, and what’s non-negotiable?

Five years from now, I see myself living between cities. Mumbai will always be home, but I imagine a life split between Mumbai, Europe, and a city like Hong Kong. Spaces that feel calm, design-led, and deeply personal. I’m building a brand that goes beyond content, something rooted in storytelling, aesthetics, and legacy. Whether that’s my own fashion or beauty line, a creative studio, or a platform that nurtures slow luxury and intentional living, it has to feel meaningful and lasting.
Non-negotiables?
Creative freedom,
Time with my family, especially my mom,
Health — physical, mental, emotional, and
Integrity in everything I put my name on.
Success, to me, will never be just about scale. It’s about building a life that feels beautiful, honest, and truly my own.
