Rampur Whisky Origin


Origin & Craftsmanship

The whisky is produced at the foothills of the Himalayas using carefully selected six-row Indian barley, known for its bold flavour and malty richness. It is distilled in newly designed copper pot stills that balance Rampur’s signature DNA with modern refinement. The spirit undergoes primary maturation in American bourbon barrels before being finished in Ruby Port Pipes. This layered maturation takes place under dramatic North Indian climate conditions giving the whisky its distinctive depth and complexity.

A refined cocktail that elevates the natural sweetness, tropical fruit notes, and ruby port–inspired richness of Rampur 1943 Virasat into a polished, luxurious expression. Designed to enhance, not overpower, the whisky’s heritage character.

A refined cocktail that elevates the natural sweetness, tropical fruit notes, and ruby port–inspired richness of Rampur 1943 Virasat into a polished, luxurious expression. Designed to enhance, not overpower, the whisky’s heritage character.


Ingredients:

  • 60 ml Rampur 1943 Virasat Single Malt

  • 15 ml raspberry syrup

  • 5 ml honey ginger syrup

  • 2 dashes orange bitters

  • Dehydrated blood orange slice

  • Rose petal


Instructions:

  1. Chill a Nick & Nora or coupe glass thoroughly.

  2. Add the whisky, raspberry syrup, honey ginger syrup, and orange bitters to a mixing glass with large ice cubes.

  3. Stir gently for 20–30 seconds until well chilled and lightly diluted.

  4. Double strain into the chilled glass.

  5. Garnish with a dehydrated blood orange slice and a rose petal.


With raspberry replacing the syrup, this serve leans deeper into the whisky’s red fruit and ruby finish while retaining its smooth vanilla and spice core. An elegant, luxurious cocktail that lets Rampur 1943 Virasat remain unmistakably at the center.
