Beeswax Candles

Beeswax candles are candles made from the wax of bees. They are known for their sweet, natural scent and long burn time. Because beeswax is a natural material, these candles are often considered to be environmentally friendly. Beeswax candles can also be less likely to trigger allergies or other sensitivities compared to candles made from other materials.

There are several reasons why people may choose to use beeswax candles. One reason is that they are made from a natural material, which makes them more environmentally friendly than candles made from synthetic materials. Beeswax candles also burn cleanly and don't produce as much soot as other types of candles. This can be helpful for people with allergies or sensitivities to fragrances or other chemicals that may be present in other types of candles. Additionally, beeswax candles have a naturally sweet, honey-like scent that many people find appealing. Because beeswax candles burn slowly, they can also last longer than candles made from other materials. Overall, beeswax candles can be a good choice for people who want to use candles that are natural, clean-burning, and long-lasting.

Benefits Of Beeswax Candles

Beeswax candles have several benefits compared to candles made from other materials. Some of the benefits of beeswax candles include:

  • Natural and environmentally friendly: Beeswax is a natural material produced by bees, so beeswax candles are considered to be more environmentally friendly than candles made from synthetic materials.

  • Clean burning: Beeswax candles burn cleanly and don't produce as much soot as other types of candles. This can be helpful for people with allergies or sensitivities to fragrances or other chemicals that may be present in other types of candles.

  • Long burn time: Because beeswax candles burn slowly, they can last longer than candles made from other materials.

  • Sweet, natural scent: Beeswax candles have a naturally sweet, honey-like scent that many people find appealing.

  • Non-toxic: Beeswax is considered to be non-toxic, making beeswax candles a safer option for use around children and pets.

Overall, beeswax candles can be a good choice for people who want to use candles that are natural, clean-burning, and long-lasting.

Soy Vs Beeswax Candles

Why is soy not environmentally friendly

Huge amounts of natural land are turned into soy farms, causing deforestation, biodiversity loss, growing carbon emissions, soil erosion, and water pollution. This alternative is unsustainable unless we manage the acreage required to cultivate soy and limit indirect consumption via livestock and animal products.

Soy wax is not natural. It is a hydrogenated heavy metal oil. Hydrogenation is a chemical reaction between molecular hydrogen (H2) and another substance or element, generally in the presence of a catalyst. This method reduces or saturates organic molecules.

Globally, 96% of soybeans are Monsanto GMOs. Pesticides and other chemicals used in soy production may remain after processing.

Many soy candles use palm oil to keep them solid and prevent melting in the summer.

The World Wildlife Fund (WWF) explains how palm oil affects the globe.

The rising consumption of Palm oils/products has generated a rush in plantings, destroying forests. Many creatures, including orangutans, are impacted.

KALI doesn't utilise soy and palm waxes for candles for these reasons. They're not "natural" and harm the environment.

Paraffin wax?

When you burn a paraffin candle, you release hazardous toxins into the air which is absolutely not good to your health.

According to research, burning soy and paraffin candles releases carcinogens such as formaldehyde, acetaldehyde, toluene, benzene, and acetone that might cause cancer and other health issues.

Are Beeswax Candles Better

Beeswax candles can be used for aromatherapy, which is the practice of using essential oils to improve physical and emotional health. When beeswax candles are used for aromatherapy, essential oils are added to the melted wax before the candle is poured into a mold. As the candle burns, the heat from the flame causes the essential oils to evaporate, releasing their aroma into the air. This can help to create a calming and relaxing atmosphere, as well as provide therapeutic benefits.

Beeswax candles are well suited for use in aromatherapy because they burn slowly and evenly, which helps to release the essential oils gradually and consistently. Beeswax candles also burn cleanly and don't produce as much soot as other types of candles, which can be important for people with allergies or sensitivities. Additionally, the natural scent of beeswax can blend well with many essential oils, adding to the overall aroma of the candle.

Candles Decor Ideas

Beeswax candles can be used for home decor in a variety of ways. Because beeswax candles are made from a natural material, they can add a warm, organic touch to any room. Beeswax candles come in a range of colors, from the natural golden color of beeswax to various shades of white and even shades of blue, green, and red. This can make it easy to find a color that matches your home decor style.

Beeswax candles can be used as standalone decorations, placed on a mantle, shelf, or table. They can also be used as part of a larger display, such as a centerpiece on a dining table or a grouping of candles on a coffee table. Beeswax candles can also be used to add ambiance to a room, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Because beeswax candles burn slowly and evenly, they can provide a steady source of light for many hours.
