The theme of 2025 Met Gala was "Superfine: Refining Black Style" with an accompanying dress code of Tailored for You. The theme explores the history of black dynamism and invited designers to rethink about fashion in relation to the theme with a possibility of creating new, bold designs that would live beyond the gala. The exhibition is divided into 12 parts. Each part highlights a key feature of dandy style, such as: Ownership, Presence, Distinction, Disguise, Freedom, Champion, Respectability, and Jook. Overall, the Met Gala 2025 theme celebrates bold self-expression and the power of fashion to tell deeper stories about identity, history, and culture.

1. Kiara Advani

Kiara Advani made a striking debut at the Met Gala 2025 with a powerful and symbolic ensemble titled Bravehearts, a custom gown designed by Indian couturier Gaurav Gupta. Her gown celebrated motherhood and resilience. The off-shoulder black dress featured a sculpted golden breastplate and a heart-shaped ornament around her baby bump, connected by a delicate golden cord symbolizing the umbilical bond. The dramatic white train added to the gown's visual impact, while her beachy waves and soft glam makeup completed the look.
