Crafted with inspiration from ancient Indian practice and Himalayan influence, Idaaya Himalayan Sipping Rum draws its name from the Sanskrit word ida, meaning mystic energy, and Himalaya, symbolising the spirit’s mountainous sphere of inspiration and ageing environment. The rum blends 12-year-old rum aged in ex-Bourbon casks with Indian molasses rum in a Solera system using sal wood casks. It results in balanced flavours shaped by high-altitude climate, crisp cool air, and natural Himalayan spring water that contribute to its unique depth and smoothness.

Idaaya Himalayan Sipping Rum carries gentle molasses sweetness, warm spice, and soft oak, making it ideal for a restrained yet indulgent cocktail. This recipe keeps the rum at the center, elevated with quiet luxury rather than excess.


Ingredients:

  • 60 ml Idaaya Himalayan Sipping Rum

  • Raw Himalayan honey syrup

  • A few strands of Kashmiri saffron

  • Cold brew vanilla pod infusion

  • Expressed orange peel for garnish


Instructions:

  1. Lightly warm the honey syrup and steep the saffron until aromatic, then let it cool completely.

  2. In a mixing glass, combine the rum, saffron honey syrup, and vanilla infusion with ice and stir gently until well chilled.

  3. Strain into a chilled crystal rocks glass over a single large ice cube and express the orange peel over the surface.
