Odd Culture is a commendable cafe cum dining. Situated in Sector 26, this all-day cafe and

bar is the latest venture from siblings Himanshu and Sunaina Makhija, with Himanshu

bringing two decades of Australian hospitality experience to the concept. The restaurant

transitions effortlessly through the day, beginning with breakfast and speciality coffee before

moving towards sharing plates, cocktails and music-led evenings. At its heart is an

experimental approach to familiar flavours, with fermentation, umami and unexpected

combinations shaping much of the menu.

Custom furniture, an open kitchen counter and a cosy rear lounge create distinct spaces for different dining moods. The alfresco seating adds an inviting outdoor element during the cooler months. A vinyl corner featuring the Makhijas’ personal collection, including records by Donna Summer and Jimmy Cliff, adds a nostalgic touch, while curated merchandise gives the space an added sense of character.
