It is neither a big pub nor a microbrewery, but a 40-seat place built with a focus on craft. Vedant Mehra, who has worked in Olive Bar and Kitchen as a mixologist, and Kavan Kuttappa, the owner of Naru Noodle Bar, are the brains behind the bar. The common vision they had was to establish a neighborhood cocktail bar that is quality-focused rather than being large in scale. The placement of the name "Doubble" is an allusion to "Double Road" and a 60 ml pour. Ever since guests enter the premises, the space speaks of purpose, character and hospitality-based identity.

Bar Doubble is strategically inconspicuous in its entrance, thus making it feel like a discovery. There is a dark corridor leading to the entrance, which guides visitors to a small but carefully designed interior. The bartending art is the main visual element, with the central bar counter anchoring the whole room. The back wall is mirrored and adds depth, making the 40-seater look bigger than it is. The lights change with the night as they become more intense with an amber colour. The flooring is made with the use of red oxide, which is a nostalgic reference to the Bengaluru architecture. The interiors are flavored with vintage-style lamps and cozy wooden surfaces. Marble table tops and chairs give a comfortable yet classy vibe. In general, the design is curated, which makes it stand out compared to more business-oriented nightlife bars in Bengaluru.

Another quality product is the Cauli Crema in chia seed khakra that combines creaminess and crunchiness. The Hamachi with coconut dressing and Fresno chilli will be a welcome change in terms of brightness and acidity, and it will complement gin-based cocktails. In case one wants something more hefty, Otti and Pandi curry is a good choice with its warm taste. Udon with pesto and sun-dried tomatoes are also available, and this is a surprising global touch. There are signature cocktails, such as Coolante, which incorporates tequila and fermented chilli-infused agave to find a medium level of heat. Whisky-based, Double Cherry is served on a white chocolate crisp. Lalbagh is based on the botanical landscape of Bengaluru and is a mix of gin, matcha, honey and lime.
