The idea is a combination of the specialty coffee culture with high-quality beers, handcrafted cocktails and global comfort food. It is not meant to be a loud nightclub, but rather a carefully considered place where leisure evenings would be at the forefront. The bar counter is central, featuring draft taps and an espresso bar that makes its dual nature coffee by day/craft pours by night. The homemade pizza menu, the dimsum basket of Asian cuisine, and the select cocktail menu are all indicators of a kitchen that leans towards the high end of the global cafe menu rather than the typical bar menu. AMBIENCE

The atmosphere at Depot48 is warm and inviting. The walls present the taste of red brick with the dark painted areas giving the impression of a rustic and urban touch. The lighting is mostly amber and gold, and there are mild overheads and concentrated stage lights. The stage space is raised a notch and framed by sparse black equipment, which gives the performances clarity of vision. The venue has wooden tables that are high, metal-framed bar stools and tightly packed chairs. The upholstery is inclined to dark tones, in the form of deep brown, black and subdued grey, which is in harmony with the background of bricks. The bar counter has a polished wooden top. Gesturing in real-time performances, the spectators tend to be on the edge of the stage. The color palette, in general, red and matte black brick, warm gold light, gives the setting of a cosy and yet cool look.

The Deja Brew interior is very European-influenced, with a cafe touch interwoven with industrial detailing. There is a geometric wooden lattice design on the ceiling, which adds depth to the architecture. The brickwork is mixed with a clean white finish, and copper piping is tapped on the upper areas. There are warm amber pendant lights over tables, and the installation of a dramatic feather-style chandelier is used as a focal point. The bar counter is mint-green textured on the front panel, has a polished black countertop, and is softly underlit to give it an evening vibe. Smaller tables are furnished with light wooden cafe chairs, and the armchairs are beige, cushioned to soften the overall tone. There is a transition from the striking black-and-white chevron flooring towards the bar to the herringbone wooden floor in the dining areas. Elements of decor include interior planters lining the brick walls, custom-made wooden shelves with ornaments, and a mural of a deer in a forest setting that adds a European bistro appearance. The golden light makes the space look rather cozy, a refreshing scene among the best bars in Greater Kailash.

The food menu of Depot48 is grounded in comfort-oriented bar food. Popular appetizers to try are Loaded Nachos with cheese and jalapeno, Peri-Peri Fries, Chicken Wings with a glaze of BBQ or spicy, and Crispy Onion Rings. Sharing platters are normally found with fries, wings and dips. Heavy meals are the Classic Cheeseburger available with fries, the BBQ Chicken Burger, and the Veggie Burger, which is available to vegetarian diners. Pasta options offered are the Pasta Arrabbiata and creamy Alfredo, which would offer a fuller meal choice. Indian cuisine boasts of such dishes as Jeera Aloo, Paneer Preparations, Khumb Do Pyaza, Dal Makhani, Chicken Lababdar, sea food preparations such as Sole Fish Curry and Prawns Masala. There is also beer, and it is served in bottles or draught and is ideal in combination with the starters and platters on the menu.
