Christmas Drinks Mulled Wine

Mulled wine is a drink commonly made of red wine together with different mulling spices and occasionally raisins, also known as spiced wine. It is served hot or warm and is alcoholic, but there are variations of it that are not alcoholic. During winter, particularly around when Christmas is celebrated, it is a traditions and cultural drink. In Europe, it is served at Christmas markets.

During the 2nd century in Rome, wine was first recorded as spiced and heated. The

Romans migrated throughout Europe, conquering half of it and trading with the rest.

The troops, together with their recipes, carried wine and viticulture up

to the Rhine and Danube rivers and to the Scottish frontier.
